NOTICE OF INTENDED MARRIAGE QUESTIONNAIRE

Your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is possibly the most important legal document required for your marriage. You cannot be legally married without a NOIM so let’s begin. How exciting!

ENTERING YOUR INFORMAITON

  • Answer all questions below.
  • Confirm all names are spelt correctly, and dates are correct. This information will appear on your official marriage certificate.
  • Upload your documents – photo ID and proof of date and place of birth.
    (birth certificate/passport/driver’s licence)
  • All uploads must be clear and in colour.
  • All documents must be in English or, if applicable, accompanied by an accredited English translation.
  • Before submitting, please double-check all answers!

AFTER SUBMITTING YOUR INFORMATION

  • A confirmation page will appear.
  • Person two can use the link in the ‘Legal Stuff’ email to complete their questionnaire.
  • I will use your responses to prepare the legal documents for your marriage.
  • We will sign and witness your NOIM at our ceremony ideas appointment.
  • If we are signing and witnessing your NOIM via a video appointment, I’ll prepare your NOIM and email it to you with instructions to prepare for our meeting.
  • If you live overseas and are signing and witnessing your NOIM before an Authorised Witness, I’ll prepare your NOIM and email it to you with instructions and your next steps.
  • If we signed your NOIM via VC, I’ll view your original photo ID and proof of date and place of birth documents at an in-person appointment before your wedding day or on your wedding. This is a legal requirement.
